Linezolid is very strong antibiotic and it's taken when infection is very very severe and it's causes bone marrow suppression also .so be aware and start with augmentin 500 mg .please also send a swab test for microbiology lab for infection causing via which organism .
Next Steps
RBS level ?? HbA1c level ?? if you have diabetic, also causes this problem.

If the wound is wet- please have a swab test for microscopy culture and sensitivity This result will guide the choice of antibiotics. **Linezolid is a very very strong antibiotic (and you have to be aware that in some patients it stops the body’s bone marrow from making blood and that can be serious) which we only use if infection in wounds is getting worse despite other antibiotics**. You must send the photos of your wounds. All the best J G S R clinic

Please do not start on linezolid on your own. You should maintain hygiene and test for Fasting blood glucose. You can start coamoxyclav 625 mg 1 tablet thrice daily for 5 days. Kindly consult a physician for further management.

Do NOT start or continue Linezolid on your own. It is a strong, last-line antibiotic with serious side effects and is not required for simple shoe-bite wounds in most cases. For shoe-bite–related wounds, the usual approach is: 1) If wounds are small, superficial, no pus, no fever: → No strong antibiotics needed → Use: • Mupirocin ointment or Fusidic acid ointment – apply 2–3 times/day • Keep the area clean, dry, open to air • Avoid the shoe causing friction 2) If wounds are red, swollen, painful, warm OR with pus: → A simple oral antibiotic is enough, e.g., • Amoxicillin–clavulanate (Augmentin) 625 mg twice daily for 5–7 days OR • Cefuroxime 500 mg twice daily for 5 days Linezolid is used only for resistant infections (MRSA) and should be taken only if a doctor prescribes. 3) Important tests: Since you said wounds are multiple → check blood sugar (FBS, PPBS or HbA1c) because undiagnosed diabetes can cause slow wound healing.

Hi, sorry to hear about your wounds. Definitely it needs treatment, but best advice would be after evaluation to know the depth, spread and nature of wound. The report does show start of infection, starting with Linezolid? I would advise you to stop and change, and consider taking after evaluation. Thank you.
Next Steps
please get it evaluated.

Hello! Sorry to hear that. Wounds need to be visually examined before treatment. Also we need to evaluate why you are having multiple wounds. Please do not take Linezolid. It is very powerful and unnecessarily damages your body. You can start with simpler targeted antibiotics and local antiseptics.
Next Steps
Kindly consult a local hospital to get dressing done.

Your CBC report Your blood report is mostly normal, except: • WBC = 10,250 (slightly high) • Neutrophils = 70% (mild rise) This usually happens when your body is fighting a mild skin infection. It is not serious, but it confirms infection is present in your foot/leg wounds. Hemoglobin, platelets, RBC—everything else is normal. 2. About your wounds Since they started from a shoe bite and now there are multiple open wounds, they are most likely: • Skin infection (cellulitis) • Or infected superficial ulcers Usually caused by common bacteria like Staph or Strep. 3. Should you continue Linezolid 600? Short answer: No, you don’t need Linezolid unless a doctor specifically told you after seeing the wound. Linezolid is a very strong, last-line antibiotic used for: • MRSA infections • Deep tissue infections • Hospital-acquired infections Side effects can be serious (low platelets, nerve issues) if taken unnecessarily. Your infection looks superficial, and your CBC does not show a severe infection. So Linezolid is not the first choice.
Next Steps
What antibiotic you should take instead For shoe-bite skin infection, doctors usually prescribe safer and effective antibiotics like: Option A (Most preferred) Amoxicillin + Clavulanic acid 625 mg One tablet twice daily for 5–7 days Option B Cefuroxime 500 mg Twice daily for 5 days These are enough for shoe-bite infection unless you are diabetic or the wound is deep.
Health Tips
When to see a doctor urgently • Wound becomes blackish • Severe pain • Fever • Spreading redness • Pus coming out Otherwise, simple treatment will heal it.
