I am a patient of a psychiatrist. I went to Sion Hospital in Mumbai and met with one psychiatrist. After doing a follow-up after 6 months, another doctor said that her time period has ended. But isn't the post-graduation period for psychiatrists 3 months? Other doctors aren't taking me seriously. I want to meet that doctor again. Will she come back? Can someone tell me?

Post graduation in psychiatry is for 3 years - these are Junior resident doctors. Also there are Senior resident doctors who are allotted BMC hospital duty for a time frame of 6 months.

You can follow up with another doctor if you want to continue treatment at Sion Hospital. Some doctors shift to another BMC run hospital or private practice, you can accordingly follow up there if you are keen are consulting the same doctor
