Why does my no-cartilege knee not hurt?
I am a 73 y.o. white male skier in excellent health. Xrays show that my LEFT knee has no cartilege, probably follow-on results of a torn ACL/medial meniscus 20 years ago (never repaired). Yet I have no pain in this knee. What are some of the most likely reasons for this?
