Many things need to be ruled out as this may be hailey- hailey/ inverse psoriasis, intertrigo etc
Detailed medical history needs to be assessed before starting you on your personalised treatment plan
Kindly share a clear picture in good lighting of affected areas
Since your condition has not improved even after oral antifungals (itraconazole/fluconazole) and is persisting for almost a year, this is likely NOT a fungal infection.
From your description and images, possibilities include:
• Lichen sclerosus
• Chronic dermatitis / eczema
• Inverse psoriasis
These conditions often mimic fungal infection but do not respond to antifungals.
Next Steps (What should the patient do next?):
• Consult a dermatologist for clinical examination
• May require dermoscopy or skin biopsy if diagnosis unclear
Helpful Tips / Word of Caution:
• Avoid repeated self-use of antifungals now
• Avoid steroid-antifungal combination creams without diagnosis
• Keep area dry, avoid friction
• Early treatment is important to prevent chronic changes
You can consult online for detailed evaluation and treatment
No need to worry.specific treatment is available.it depends on severity of the disease . Complete medical history is required..
Pls do online consultation with Dermatologist for detailed prescription & guidance.
There can be other possible diagnosis like dermatitis which are chronic conditions like psoriasis, infections etc.
Kindly consult for better diagnosis and management
