White patches on face

Asked for Female, 23 Years

I have got white patches on face.I am suffering from this problem since 10 or more years.my age is 23 years.these patches do not burn but as i go in hot sun or do workout and go in hot sun it starts turning red and during periods also there is immense pain i have to suffer from. so i wanted to know are these related?

Thanks for the query. This could be related to a skin disease called Vitiligo. It is easily diagnosed by a dermatologist and if needed a blue light (Wood's lamp) examination is used to understand it better. Kindly consult a skin specialist. Other skin conditions and close mimickers can rarely confuse a diagnosis of Vitiligo.
