Weight gain of preterm baby
Hello doctor I delivered a late preterm baby at 34w2d with BW 1.8kgs.She is 2.18 months now and her weight is 3.6kgs.She is 95% on BM and 5% on fm..How to increase her weight? Can I use HMF sachet? Is her weight low?

hello...congrats on baby arrival in your family.. since baby is preterm ...coreected age is to be taken for accurate weight comparision...if current age is 2month 18 days..baby corrected age is 2months now..and weight of 3.6kg is perfectly fine at this age..hmf is of no use at this age and weight..continue breast feeding..and monitor weight gain evry month

Hai. Baby should be growing at 20 to 30 grams per day. Check monthly and look for the devolopmental milestones she is attaining If she is growing well that indicates everything internally is normal and feed is assimilated well
