Hello,
Weight gain is a gradual process and it requires a lot of personalized dietary approaches. Drastic changes, working out excessively will only give short-term results. Improving your overall food intake and regularity in physical activity mainly weight bearing exercises will help you in putting on weight. A personalized diet session is highly recommended for you as it takes into account your lifestyle, routine, eating habits, medical conditions if any, medications, etc. Patience and compliance are two things that will help and show results.
As a start follow the guidelines below -
1. Never skip meals and have balanced meals
2. Incorporate protein rich foods in every meal such as dals, pulses, sprouts, dairy, non-veg, etc
3. Healthy fats in the form of nuts & seeds should be included
4. Have calorically dense foods such as milkshakes, Lassi, sandwiches, wraps, etc. Fruits such as banana, custardapple, mango, Chickoo and vegetables such as potato, sweet potato, and yam are calorically dense.
5. Never workout on an empty stomach have a fruit preferably a banana before
6. Post workout protein is important eat a protein rich snack post workout
7. Weight bearing exercises will help in improving weight on scale
8. Drink 8-10 glasses of water daily
9. Avoid sweets, sugar, processed and packaged foods, etc

Hi,
You should follow a nutritious balanced diet, which contains good quality and quantity protein, like, egg, dahi, paneer, milk, soyabean, sprouts, almond, cashew etc and fruits and vegetables. You should increase calorie intake gradually. Doing exercises is helpful, it will make your muscle mass strong but to gain weight more food you need to consume. Drink atleast 3 litre water per day. More details are required to recommend specifically.
