If you go to gym and do moderate intensity workout you can have any non sport brand of whey Protein. But if intensity us high you need to hve good quality of proteins which will help you to kick start your workouts.

Yes..whey is a good protein, but the quantity and quality of your protein intake should be carefully monitored based on your activity levels and body weight as too much protein can cause damage to your kidneys. I don't see a need for whey protein supplements if you are taking good quantity of eggs fish chicken milk curd etc in your diet. Your protein requirements increase with muscle building activities and it should be calculated based on your current food habits and the and the time you spent on strengthening and weight bearing/muscle building exercises.
