I am a student and i had acne as you can see in photo , i started treatment of them using youtube dermatologist videos and research on chatgpt althoug i did not used any natural remedies as i am a science student and i thought they can cause problems so i trusted modern medicine and started adapline every night (pea sized) and benzoyl peroxide on acne areas in morning
And i followed this routine
Morning : cetaphil syndet bar for cleanser and then moisturizer non comedogenic and than benzoyl peroxide
And in night : same syndet bar for cleanser ,than after 20 minutes adapline and than sleep
I knew about sunscreen but i thought i remain all day in home and avoid sunlight as i am preparing for exam online
Now ,this is the result of 75 days of adapline
And now i think i did a mistake for not consulting a dermatologist
I regret my this type of scientific thinking and rationality
Can any doctor suggest me what should i do

• You actually show partial improvement with adapalene + benzoyl peroxide (less inflammation in recent photos)
• Current issue is persistent inflammatory acne + post-inflammatory marks, not treatment failure
• Likely irritation + barrier damage + lack of sunscreen is slowing recovery
Next steps
• Continue adapalene at night (pea-sized, whole face)
• Use benzoyl peroxide only as spot treatment (not full face daily)
• Add gentle moisturizer twice daily (very important)
• Start sunscreen (SPF 30–50) daily even indoors
• Add niacinamide (morning) for oil control + marks
• If still active acne → consult dermatologist for oral antibiotics (short course) or combination therapy
Helpful tips / Words of caution
• Don’t overuse benzoyl peroxide → causes dryness & rebound acne
• Don’t expect full results before 3–4 months (you’re at ~2.5 months)
• Avoid picking/squeezing → prevents scars
• Keep routine simple and consistent
• ⚠️ If acne becomes cystic, painful, or leaves scars → seek in-person dermatology care early

Stop 🛑 both these creams for now; yes even though you don't step into direct ☀️, UV light is the limiting factor; wear a 🧢 in the interim as sunscreens can make the face oily and for now , let things calm down.
Health Tips
Avoid OTC products, home remedies, self medication and Dr Google's suggestions 🙏
From your images, there is some improvement, but you still have active inflammatory acne, which means your treatment likely needs a little adjustment rather than a complete change.
A few important points:
• Acne treatment usually takes 8–12 weeks or more, so patience is key
• Sunscreen is still important even indoors, especially with adapalene
• You may now benefit from adding an oral medication or modifying topicals based on severity
Next Steps
I would suggest a proper consultation so we can tailor treatment specifically for your skin and prevent future marks/scarring.
