My daughter 16 year old  takes calcium and vitamin d supplement of 250 mg calcium and 400 iU vitamin d every day as she has constipation issues and has to be away from milk products.In this growing age does she needs occasionally vitamind  d supplement of 60,000 IU once a week ?And if yes then for that week will her calcium+vitamind supplemt needs to be stopped for that week ?

Take calcium and vitamin D supplement once a day...but add foods like banana,dates these are rich in fibre...these foods helps in to prevent the constipation.. Add plenty of water 5 to 6 litres a day.... She needs balanced diet ...

With a good diet , he daily supplement levels are most likely adequate. We do not need 60,000 IU per week unless she is found to be deficient. A simple blood test will tell you her levels. Kindly consult in the app if you need more information.
