Viral Fever in 15 day old newborn baby

Hello Doctor, My baby is 15 days old and we had taken her out by car for about 3 hrs. W bundled her up in warm clothes but the car window was kept rolled down. After we came back home she started running a fever. This was about 2 and a half days ago. Her fever rose and went down and again rose between 97 to 98 degrees during these 2 plus days. we visited a pediatric doctor who diagnosed her with a viral and said the fever and viral ill go away in 2 or 3 days. Will my baby's fever go away soon?

Any temperature below 99 is not fever. Make sure that the baby is feeding well, passing urine atleast 8- 10 times in a day. If she still feels warm kindly consult with a neonatologist. Any fever in a newborn is a danger signal

Viral fever in 15 days baby is unlikely. Better go for blood tests. Visit local pediatrician or go to neonatologist .
