My 12yo son is having violent thoughts like killing his teacher for giving too much homework. Is it just his way of expressing anger or is it a sing that he needs intervention? He was in therapy before but he refuses to go anymore, he sais he doesn't need help, and his therapist says he can't work against the patient's will. He doesn't have a mental health diagnosis but I suspect he might be depressed.

I think you should visit a child psychiatrist and get a thorough evaluation. It could be behavioural issues or it could be an incipient mood disorder or some other issue all together.
