My Mother (59) underwent hysterectomy on 22 Dec 17. Further due to vesico vaginal fistula she underwent UVF J Stenting on 9 Jan 2018.. On 26 Jan mother faced same problem and there was septic infection. Admitted again from 28th Jan for infection recovery. On 3 Feb Doctor changed Stent.

it should be clearly diagnosed whether it is a vesicovaginal fistula alone or it's associated with ureterovaginal fistula. I believe that it is the ureterovaginal fistula for which the stenting has been done. If there is associated vesicovaginal fistula, then stent should be left in place. The both fistulae has to be treated simultaneously after 3 months. If there is infection and persistent fistula from ureter, then she needs a Percutaneous nephrostomy
