D J stent in kidney
My father has DJ stent in his kidney, which was put to treat pyonephrosis. It's been three months since then. Now the doctor says that unless corona pandemic gets controlled, he can't remove it. Is it safe to keep dj stent in kidney for such long period of time? What should we do? Are some precautions needed?

Ideally it should be removed or changed after 3 months. U can keep it longer if it's a silicone DJ stent. Ask ur Urologist if its a silicone stent
