Very loose gums and bad smell from mouth
My dad is suffering from loose gums and his teeth are not having a strong hold onto the gums. He is suffering from very bad mouth odour too. Am attaching some pic. Pls help and guide. Can we reconstruct the full teethline for my dad? I mean just out of curiosity i am asking. Is it possible to open the gums, clean them, and fit new teeth? Regards

I could see and read your problems. He is suffering from severe form gum disease. Which is mainly due to oral hygiene neglect. You must consult a senior dentist he will advise you of Xray and other investigations any pertaining to his medical history as well. A thorough treatment if given depending on the stage of the problem the tooth which are okay can be saved. If the shakiness and bone is destroyed then it will mandate other treatments. Anyway do not let it happen to anyone in your family and friends. Prevention is better than cure. Regular bi annual check up to a dentist is very important for sustainable good oral hygiene. Ur dad needs deep subgingival scaling. Yes u can reconstruct teeth line. After then v can go in flap surgery where the flap is raised and after then sutured. Ask him to go for warm saline rinses 5 6 times a day

He is suffering from severe periodontitis(Gum and bone problem).First he needs general cleaning followed by deep gum cleaning either with or without opening the gums . He has to maintain the oral health properly. Advice him to do night brushing and gargle mouth wash .He can take big amla fruit daily once for bad breath .

Yes it’s possible to treat your dad’s gum problem. He is suffering from periodontal issues. He needs to get his scaling and polishing done followed by periodontal treatment( flap surgery) . Then Home maintainence with twice a day brushing, flossing and mouthwash
