I have this lump on my underarm for the past three days. I have been taking ampilox and applying warm compress on it, and it has only swelled up in size. The pain has lessened. Earlier I wasn't able to raise my arm or put it down, but not I can at least do that. I'm just concerned how long it will take for it to go away and whether I should get it drained out or not? I'm very scared of surgeries of any kind, so I'm not really looking forward to that.

History suggests it to be hidranitis supprativa. Draining the lesion may not always be required. Antibiotics specific to the problem help in recovery. Sweating control + weight reduction + laser hair removal prevent relapses.
Next Steps
Consult a dermatologist in person for physics examination and treatment.
