Underarm painful pimple
Hello Doctor.
I have got a ingrown hair pimple underarm. Its painful as well. Been using Mupirocin ointment but its not helping. Please suggest a medication. Attaching picture for your reference. I have also been taking Aldigesic P for some pain relief. Took pictures from both angles for your kind reference.

• Likely infected ingrown hair / early furuncle (boil) in underarm
• Pain + swelling and no response to mupirocin suggests deeper infection (topical alone not enough)
Next steps
• Continue warm compress (10–15 mins, 3–4 times/day)
• Apply topical antibiotic (mupirocin/fusidic acid) twice daily
• Avoid shaving/waxing till it heals
• If it becomes soft, very painful, or increases in size → may need incision & drainage (I&D)
