TSH 9.2 level
I am 30 years old old female. I got thyroid during my first pregnancy (2 years ago) and it didn't get cured. I had TSH 12 points last month, but now when I checked it is 9.2 points. This thyroid was noticed randomly by my gynaecologist during a general check up. She suggested taking 50mg and based on the results she said she will increase after 2 months. I am taking 50 mg now, should I increase the dose to 75mg or how? I have to plan my second pregnancy once this becomes normal. Someone please suggest the dosage

Thyroid illness is a long-term illness like diabetes, hypertension and certain other diseases and requires regular follow-up with your treating physician and micro adjustments of the dosing to achieve acceptable levels in the Blood. Under treating and over treating the disease can both lead to several adverse effects. From your report of TSH of 9, it is clear that the values are not within the acceptable limits and the thyroid condition that you have needs to be treated.
Next Steps
Kindly consult for further evaluation and management of your thyroid illness.

Patient's detailed medical history is required. It is recommended to consult a doctor professional through the Practo app or visit a local medical facility for a thorough evaluation. Please keep in mind that detailed medical history is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment.
