Diarrhoea is reported to be one of the symptoms of covid 19 and the other cause for diarrhoea can be the unnecessary and indiscriminate use of antibiotics that is being observed in covid 19. Azithromycin is used in covid 19 patients but only if the covid 19 patients show any signs of super added bacterial infections and patients who are showing signs of severity.
Next Steps
Stop azithromycin, hydrate well, you can use a probiotic such enterogermina to replenish the gut bacteria which is lost due to antibiotic use.
Health Tips
Avoid any anti diarrhoea medication as there is not proven benefit in such cases but may cause harm, thus it is better to avoid. Consult a physician if more doubts .
