Thank you for sharing the photo and your symptoms 🙏 I’ll speak **carefully, honestly, and practically**, because tongue + digestion + low weight gives us important clues. --- ## What I see from the tongue (non-diagnostic but informative) From the image: * Pale pink tongue with **patchy white coating** * **Multiple small reddish spots** * Surface looks **dry**, not moist * No thick curd-like coating, no black/blue areas This pattern usually points to **chronic digestive weakness**, not a dangerous tongue disease. --- ## Putting ALL your symptoms together You mentioned: * Recurrent tongue patches * Poor digestion * Very low body weight * Dry skin * Malnutrition-like appearance 👉 This combination strongly suggests a **malabsorption / weak digestion problem**, not just a tongue issue. --- ## Most likely causes (ranked) ### 1️⃣ **Chronic weak digestive fire (Low Agni)** Food is eaten ✔️ But **not properly digested & absorbed** ❌ This causes: * Nutrient deficiency despite eating * Low body weight * Dry skin * Tongue changes In Ayurveda: **Agni-mandya + Vata dominance** --- ### 2️⃣ **Gut imbalance / chronic dysbiosis** Often due to: * Long-term indigestion * Gas, bloating, loose or irregular stools * Past antibiotic use * Stress This leads to: * Poor vitamin absorption (B-complex, iron, zinc) * Recurrent tongue patches --- ### 3️⃣ **Migratory glossitis / atrophic tongue (nutritional)** Not dangerous, but recurrent when: * B12 / iron / folate absorption is poor * Digestion is weak ⚠️ This is **secondary** — the root problem is digestion. --- ### 4️⃣ Less likely (but important to rule out) * True oral fungal infection (usually thick curd-like removable coating) * Autoimmune conditions (rare, other symptoms present) From the image, **fungal infection looks unlikely**. --- ## What this is NOT (reassurance) ❌ Not cancer ❌ Not leukoplakia ❌ Not dangerous tongue disease This is **systemic**, not local. --- ## What to do NOW (step-by-step) ## 🌿 Step 1: Fix digestion FIRST (most important) ### Morning (empty stomach) * Warm water * Add **½ tsp fresh ***juice + few drops ***** (if tolerated) ### Before meals * *****+ dry **powder** (pinch) with warm water OR * Small piece of ginger with rock salt 👉 This stimulates digestive fire. --- ## 🌿 Step 2: Rebuild absorption & tissues ### Ayurvedic core support (gentle) * ******* – ½ tsp at night with warm water * ******* – low dose (250 mg) at night if no acidity This helps: ✔ Gut healing ✔ Weight stabilization ✔ Dryness reduction --- ## 🌿 Step 3: Tongue care (supportive, not primary) * Tongue scraping every morning (gentle) * Rinse mouth with **lukewarm water + pinch of turmeric** * Avoid harsh mouthwashes Do **NOT** apply chemicals or antifungal gels unless prescribed. --- ## 🍽️ Diet rules (very important) ### ❌ Avoid * Cold food & drinks * Raw salads at night * Excess sugar * Tea/coffee on empty stomach * Skipping meals ### ✅ Prefer * Warm, freshly cooked food * Rice with ghee (small amount) * Moong dal, well-cooked * Stewed fruits * Buttermilk (daytime, diluted, spiced) --- ## 🧴 Dry skin care Dry skin here is from **internal dryness**, not lack of oil. * Warm oil massage (sesame or coconut) 3–4×/week * Avoid frequent hot showers --- ## Precautions ⚠️ * Do NOT self-medicate with antifungals * Do NOT fast or do extreme diets * Avoid excessive supplements without digestion correction --- ## When to investigate (if not already done) If symptoms persist despite digestion correction: * CBC * B12 * Iron studies * Stool routine (if diarrhea/gas) --- ## Bottom line 🌱 This is a **digestive-rooted nutritional imbalance**, not a tongue disease. Once digestion improves, the **tongue patches, weight, and skin will improve together**. If you want, tell me: * Your age & gender * Stool pattern (loose / hard / gas?) * Appetite level * Any anxiety or chronic stress I’ll tailor this **exactly for you** 🙏 Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine. Namastey The tongue is the mirror image of whole digestive system. In your case, your tongue is showing indigestion of severe level with minerals and vitamins deficiency. As per Ayurveda, it is case of Ajeerna, that is your body toxins and inflammatory substances are present throughout the whole digestive tract. That is why you are feeling other symptoms also like dry skin, reduced body weight, acidity and flatulence.

“Recurrent tongue patches with low body weight and dry skin suggest geographic tongue possibly secondary to nutritional deficiencies or malabsorption. I would advise evaluation for B12, iron, folate levels, and addressing gut health. Condition is usually benign but improves with nutritional correction and dietary modifications.”
