At 62 years of age, the serum PSA range is acceptable only, sudden rise in PSA could also be because of the infection in prostate. Kindly do a urine culture. Why serum PSA was done? What symptoms lead him to do a PSA? Better to consult with a urologist and he needs a thorough evaluation and a digital rectal examination. If the rectal examination is abnormal, then would need further evaluation. Don’t be panic, go by the urologist advice after examination . Diet doesn’t have much influence on PSA.
Next Steps
Consult with a local urologist immediately
