Complaints of pain in the wisdom tooth can be because - 1) Tooth is erupting (coming up) 2) Tooth is impacted (blocked) and therefore unable to erupt (come up) like other teeth 3) Tooth is decayed because self cleaning is usually difficult in that area. Impacted tooth can cause pain - because of food getting blocked there, infection , trauma to the soft tissue due to biting, etc Yes , hot and cold food can aggravate the pain
Next Steps
Please get assessed by a dental care provider .  Do not postpone this by only having painkillers.
Health Tips
Advice- Pain can be relieved temporarily by "warm saline rinses" in that region. And maintain good oral hygiene.

Hi If wisdom tooth is giving often pain better remove it ASAP. Its an extra tooth which is not useful for chewing and esthetics. Take kettoral DT tablet for immediate pain relief. You can also keep pain out gel with cotton over the tooth .
