The tooth with a deep cavity approaching the pulp is usually treated by Root canal treatment..As your treatment has been continued for 3 days, so it must be RCT..An attached x ray will be helpful to judge the cause of pain and further treatment for that..If the cavity has not been so deep a normal filling would have been done but that procedure does not involve many sittings..A high point on biting food may be the cause of pain in case of normal filling..Visit a dentist to find either of the causes with an x ray..Continue intake of prescribed medicines by your dentist.
It's very important to know what type of treatment you are undergoing, which you haven't mentioned. I would assume you are undergoing a Root Canal Treatment as it usually takes more than one sitting and it can't be a normal filling as there is pain involved. Have your doctor prescribed medications before starting the treatment? If he had, i would guess that either your canals haven't been cleared yet, or you have a hot pulp.
Next Steps
Discuss with your doctor the problems you are facing, and do the needful, if multiple Xrays are to be taken, do not hesitate.
If the tooth is paining despite the filling,
please check if the filled teeth is touching first on biting.Despite the of filling Correction if the pain continues, please proceed with Root canal treatment as the cavity may be deep.
Please tell about the kind of treatment done. If only filling is done then it may be deeper then what amount is removed and replaced. Or may be due to high points in the filling. Get it checked by your dentist. If u are going for rct then the pain may subside gradually while taking medications or some infection may be present. All this can be diagnosed with help of X-ray taken by dentist
Hello mam... Kindly check the particular teeth with an x-ray, if the cavity is deep it's better to do Root Canal Treatment and Capping... Followed by Antibiotics..
Health Tips
