Hi. Bad smell from the mouth could be due to several reasons. Food debris getting collected in the small pits in the tonsils is one of the reasons. Gargling with Chlorhexidine/povidone iodine based mouth-gargles (diluted 1:1 with water) after every meal could help. Maintain good oral hygiene including brushing the teeth and cleaning the tongue well twice a day. If it doesn't help, plz get yourself evaluated by an ENT specialist and a dentist to rule out any other foci of infection. Warm regards, Dr Aanchal A Mittal, Therapeia centre, Bangalore
