I am experiencing pain in the joint of my right hand thumb . I can't put any pressure like opening any box or cutting vegetables... attached is the x-ray done of my thumb . Pls tell me what is this extra thing showing clearly in x-ray ?

That is a sesamoid bone which is normally present in everyone. Your pain may due to joint overload secondary to doing activities which require too much use of the thumb or pressure on the same.
