Swollen and blue index finger in middle

Hello Doctor, I got a swollen, blue and painful area on my right hand index finger suddenly, and that is freaking me out. It came out of no where some time back. What do I do?

Hello. Are you sure that it is not a traumatic injury? I think you should go for an x ray Rt.Index finger to Rule out any injury. Sometimes people, they don't even know that they had hit something. Otherwise in a normal healthy person, its Very strange. Please don't worry and take stress unnecessarily, go for an X ray as soon as possible. It depends upon the report. Regards. Its not a major health issue, you will be surely relieved.
