Swelling in heel
I have been suffering from heel pain for 4 years. Recently, I was diagnosed with insertional tendonitis. However, the doctor prescribed only painkillers and some ligament-related medicines, and I have not seen any improvement. It has become very difficult for me to walk long distances. I previously underwent ultrasound therapy, but it did not work, and I also did some physiotherapy and also using custom insole.Someone suggested that ESWT therapy might help, but I am not sure. Please guide me. What will work for me

Based on your history, this appears to be chronic insertional Achilles tendinopathy.
Next Steps
Since your symptoms are long-standing and not responding to routine treatment, further evaluation is required so please get an X-ray of heel (lateral view) to look for bony prominence
