Superficial thrombophlebitis
I am having superficial thrombophlebitis due to iv infusion and my doctor suggested me thrombophob gel... I am applying the gel for few days... It has reduced from earlier but I want to know that which is more effective in superficial thrombophlebitis cold fomentation or hot fomentation or should I take both cold fomentation and hot fomentation along with thrombophob gel

Greetings! Ideally cold fomentation reduces the inflammation (reduce swelling and pain) Thrombophobe ointment is topical heparin (blood thinner) prevents expanding of clot. Already formed clot will resolve in 10 days! Thank you!
