Suffering from Diarrhoea from two months
It started with a stomach infection due to water as our home water supply got mixed with sewer water. The first time it happened, I was prescribed O2 and probiotics for 5 days. The second time I took rifagut 550 and probiotics for 5 days. For the third time, I have tried O2, Rifagut, Zifi 200, Ciplox TZ, medicine for IBS since the past two months along with probiotics but my stomach is not getting any better. Ultrasound, LFT, Typhoid,CBC all are normal. I have lost 5kgs weight. I don't have anxiety issues but I am getting worse every day. Pls I request someone to help me with this.

I’m really sorry to hear about your ongoing stomach issues. It sounds incredibly frustrating and concerning, especially with the weight loss and lack of improvement despite various treatments. Given your symptoms and the normal results from your tests, it might be helpful to consider a few additional steps: Dietary Adjustments: Sometimes, specific dietary changes can help manage symptoms. A low FODMAP diet, for example, is often recommended for IBS and other gastrointestinal issues. It might be worth consulting a dietitian. Hydration and Electrolytes: Ensure you are staying well-hydrated, especially if you are experiencing diarrhea. Oral rehydration solutions can help maintain electrolyte balance. Probiotics: While you’ve been taking probiotics, it might be beneficial to try different strains or formulations. Some probiotics are more effective for certain conditions than others. Stress Management: Even if you don’t feel anxious, stress can impact gut health. Techniques such as mindfulness, yoga, or meditation might help. Review Medications: Sometimes, medications themselves can cause gastrointestinal symptoms. Reviewing all your current medications with your doctor might identify any potential culprits. It’s important to keep your healthcare provider informed about your ongoing symptoms and any new developments. If you haven’t already, consider seeking a second opinion to explore all possible avenues for diagnosis and treatment. I hope you find relief soon. If you need any more information or support, feel free to ask.
