Stone in Kidney
My father is 65 years old and we found that he is having stone in his kidney. By seeing the Ultrasound and X-ray report Dr said that he has 12mm stone in his kidney. And suggested for operation. At his age is it safe for operation. Can the stone be crashed without having operation?

Both are possible. Surgery like miniperc pcnl or non surgical like ESWL. What is best for the patient needs to be decided based on stone factors, patient factors including patient medical conditions. Presence or absence of infection, symptoms, renal function and location of stone within kidney.
