Sore throat
I have a sore throat along with coughing. It pains during swallowing any food. Liquids are easy to manage. Pains while talking. No other symptom apart from slight headache. No cold/sneezing. Coughing makes the throat even more painful. The exact pain area is a bit down the throat and not at the back of the mouth. It's right where the neck ends and chest begins (right below the Adam's apple).
