Sleep issue
I am 33 year old woman with two kids. I have been facing sleep issues for many years. One day I'll sleep and will not sleep for many days as I keep overthinking, i have childhood trauma. I was under brahmi caps and other medications which I lost and don't know its name as well. Can you please help me if I can only take brahmi caps? Or what are the medicines to be taken? Is it safe to take these sleep medicines long term? At least as a temporary solution what can I do to sleep tonight please?

Namastey Your pattern of sleeping one day and then not sleeping for several days suggests chronic insomnia with an anxiety/trauma component, similar to Insomnia associated with Anxiety disorder. In such cases, the mind remains in a hyper-alert state, making it difficult to switch off at night. Regarding Brahmi capsules, they are generally safe and can help in calming the mind and improving sleep quality over time. However, taking only one herb may not be sufficient if the root cause is deep emotional stress or trauma. Long-term use of strong sleep medicines (sedatives) is usually not recommended without supervision, as they can lead to dependency. Ayurvedic or mild calming support is safer, but ideally should be part of a holistic plan including mind relaxation techniques and routine correction.
Next Steps
For tonight, focus on natural calming methods rather than worrying about medicines. Create a quiet, dim environment, avoid phone use at least 1 hour before bed, and try slow deep breathing or guided relaxation. Even if sleep does not come immediately, lying down calmly without pressure often helps the body settle. You may restart Brahmi capsules if you were previously comfortable with them, but for long-term relief, a structured and personalized plan addressing your sleep cycle, anxiety, and past trauma will be much more effective. For professional and confidential guidance tailored to your condition, I would recommend you connect with us at 9 3 1 5 6 6 1 5 6 5, where we can help you restore your sleep naturally and safely.
Health Tips
Maintain a fixed sleep schedule—go to bed and wake up at the same time daily, even if sleep is not perfect initially. Avoid caffeine, heavy meals, self foot massage with any oil before sleep and stimulating activities at night. Gentle practices like warm milk before bed, light stretching, or meditation can help calm the nervous system. During the day, try to release built-up thoughts by journaling or talking to someone you trust. Suppressed emotions often come up at night as overthinking. Most importantly, don’t put pressure on yourself to “force sleep.” The more you chase sleep, the more it escapes. With patience and the right support, your body can gradually return to a natural, restful rhythm. Thank You

Your sleep issues seem related to long-standing anxiety and overthinking. Brahmi may help mildly, but taking it alone may not be sufficient. Long-term use of sleep medicines should not be done without supervision. For immediate relief tonight, focus on calming routine—early light dinner, warm milk, avoiding screens and practicing slow breathing. For proper and lasting improvement, a structured treatment is needed. Please consult me so I can guide you safely.
