Skin surgery complications

Asked for Female, 20 Years

I had a cyst removed 3w ago. The healing was fine at first but the day before my 2w post op I noticed a scab but it wasn’t on the incision site it was next to it. The Dr told me to come back in 2 more weeks. The scab went away and now it seems like my skin is eating itself. There is apprx a 1/2 sq in area of skin that I’d estimate to be 1/2 mm deep and it’s all yellow. It doesn’t smell and it’s not draining but the surrounding skin is red and it hurts with pressure. Should I go back sooner?

Hello.... The redness and the pain are signs of inflammation. If u are on the anti inflammatory drugs , then u can continue and it should settle down. U can wait for 2-3 days may be. But if it doesnt then please take an early appointment and show it.
