• Most likely freckles / sun-induced pigmentation (lentigines) or early melasma-type pigmentation
• Chronic (5–6 years) → mainly sun-related + genetic tendency
• Requires long-term maintenance, not quick cure
Next steps
• Morning:
– Broad-spectrum sunscreen SPF 50 (very important)
– Add Vitamin C (if suits your skin) or Niacinamide serum
• Night:
-Azelaic acid / Kojic acid / Alpha arbutin cream
• Weekly: mild exfoliation (AHA like glycolic acid 1–2x/week)
• If resistant → dermatologist procedures (chemical peel / laser)
Helpful tips / Words of caution
• Sunscreen is the most important step (without it, nothing works)
• Avoid steroid-containing “fairness creams”
• Results take 8–12 weeks minimum
• Reapplication of sunscreen every 3–4 hours if outdoors
• ⚠️ Pigmentation tends to recur if sun protection is poor
