Shortness of Breath
I use to smoke 4-5 cig per day since 4 yrs and last month I had a breathing issue where I had shortness of breath. Normally I had continuous cough since a year. I have left smoking since then (almost 7 weeks now) and I still have very small cough at times. Still I have this shortness of breath and I feel something stuck in my throat. What can be the issue? Is it something serious?

Hello there. I can understand your concern. 4-5 cigarettes a day for 4 years would have caused a lot of damage which you expect to clear immediately once you quit. That's not going to happen. It will take time. Body takes time to clear the lungs. Consult a pulmonologist in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards.
