SHORE THROAT OF 1 MONTH BABY
Dear doctor,
My baby is 1 month old. Suffering from shore throat.
Symptom noticed is baby not able to cry louder. Scratchy sound when crying. Nose is also blocked.
Baby Taking breastfeeding well.
What should I do. Pls healp.

Cant say about sore throat without examine a newborn...
But as baby taking BF well, wait for 2 to3 days...

Its very difficult to say sore throat in1 month child. But yes child is too young you should consult pediatrician online or in person

Sore throat at this age is very very rare. Can’t say without seeing baby’s throat.

Give saline nasal drops for nose block. Watch for breathing difficulties if any.

Usually there will b pain and decreased feeding if the baby has sore throat.. Need to consult doctor if it is of recent onset.. If the baby is feeding well then u need to look for other causes for low hoarse voice for example thyroid problem
