Self talk and too many thoughts in head
I have anxiety issues for the past 10 years. However I haven't been on any medication. I always started meds for 1 month or so and stopped after that. However, my job is writing on laptop, and I can't write much these days. I get depressed after writing 2-3 articles and then switch off the phone. I also can't sleep easily and take too much time to go to sleep. One big issue which I have been facing for the past decade is talking to myself. When I am alone, I imagine random people and then start speaking. Although am aware of it, but I still talk to myself and people think that am losing my mind. How can I stop that.

Hey It sounds like your anxiety has stayed with you for a long time and is now blending with exhaustion and overthinking. See the self-talk you mentioned isn’t uncommon in people who’ve lived with anxiety for years it’s often your mind’s way of processing thoughts aloud when there’s too much mental noise inside. It doesn’t mean you’re “losing your mind,” but it does signal that your brain is overloaded and craving regulation. Solution is that you Start by rebuilding structure: regular sleep time, daily physical activity, and limited caffeine. When you catch yourself talking to imaginary people, gently shift to writing those thoughts instead let journaling replace verbal release. And about the medication if every time you stop after a month, the anxiety returns, it’s worth reviewing that plan with a psychiatrist rather than quitting abruptly. Therapy will help you manage the anxiety patterns, sleep cycle, and overthinking at the root. Take therapy. You can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five
