I can understand your frustration very well. When scalp cysts reduce only slowly despite long-term treatment, it is natural to feel unhappy and look for better options. From your description, these appear to be sebaceous / pilar (scalp) cysts, which are benign but often deep-rooted and long standing. Medicines like Silicea and Thuja are commonly prescribed, and the fact that the cysts are shrinking (even slowly) indicates that your body is responding. That is actually a positive sign. However, in such cases, simply increasing potency of the same medicines does not always give faster results. What often makes a real difference is a proper constitutional reassessment—considering your overall health, skin tendency, sweating, thermal preference, stress, past history, and family background. When the remedy is matched correctly, cysts can shrink faster and sometimes resolve completely without surgery. I have treated several patients with multiple scalp cysts where, after individualised homeopathic treatment, the cysts reduced significantly and surgery was avoided. My suggestion to you would be: Get a detailed homeopathic evaluation rather than continuing the same medicines blindly Avoid squeezing or manipulating the cysts Be guided properly on whether to continue medical treatment or consider minor intervention, depending on depth and nature If you wish, you may consult me directly for a proper assessment and personalised guidance. Based on that, I can honestly tell you whether your cysts are medically manageable or not, and what results you can realistically expect. Since the cysts are long-standing and the improvement has been slow, a fresh and detailed assessment would help in planning the treatment more accurately. Continuing or changing medicines without a complete review may delay results. The medicines you have mentioned above are the commonly used medicines and can differ for different patient as per their individuality so I’ll advice u to get more precised medicine for complete cure of Your’s We are here to understand your condition in detail and guide you properly. With a carefully planned approach and regular follow-up, we can work towards better and more satisfying improvement.
Health Tips
- Refrain from manipulating or squeezing the swellings. - Avoid using topical applications or self-medicated products on the affected area. - Maintain gentle scalp hygiene and avoid harsh rubbing. - Do not repeatedly check or measure the cysts, as this can irritate them. - Report promptly if there is pain, redness, discharge, or sudden enlargement.

Sebaceous or pilar cysts on the scalp usually respond slowly. Gradual reduction in size suggests that the body is responding to treatment. In long standing cases improvement is often steady rather than rapid. If progress has become very slow, a proper reevaluation with detailed case taking is advisable rather than expecting quick results.

Avoid squeezing or manipulating the cysts

Dear Sir, Thank you for explaining your case so clearly. Sebaceous or pilar cysts on the scalp are commonly seen, and it is good that you have already noticed some reduction in size ..this indicates that the body is responding. In homoeopathy, slow but steady improvement is often expected, especially in long-standing cysts. However, when progress becomes very slow, it usually means that the remedy selection or potency needs re-evaluation, or that a constitutional approach is required rather than continuing the same medicines empirically. ✔ With proper individualised homoeopathic treatment, such cysts can gradually shrink and, in many cases, resolve without surgical intervention, allowing the body to heal naturally and reducing the chances of recurrence. That said, the exact response depends on factors such as: • Duration of the cysts • Size and consistency • Family history of similar growths • Overall metabolism, immunity, and skin tendency For further guidance, a detailed case assessment is essential before changing or continuing medicines. Based on this, a more precise treatment plan can be advised. You may consult me online for a personalised evaluation and treatment plan. Warm regards, Dr Kiran
Health Tips
• Avoid frequent touching or pressing the cysts • Do not attempt to puncture or squeeze • Maintain good scalp hygiene • Avoid heavy oiling if cysts tend to block follicles • Manage stress and sleep properly (important for skin healing)
