Schizophrenia
My brother is having this issue of Schizophrenia since last 5 years .
We have tried various methods and treatments but nothing seems to be working at the moment.
I was wondering if it was possible to have a three way video consultation as I don't live near him .

In case of schizophrenia there is need of patience because it takes a longer to adjust the doses of drugs. Most important thing is to assure compliance to medications, if possible supervised medications are advised.
It is best to consult (and advisable) in presence of patient.

Hi... Need further history regarding your brother's condition. Like the duration of illness, type of symptoms, medication and doses tried , compliance to medicines etc. You can take a consultation and discuss the same.

Well you can try online consultation once if he is behaviourally stable. Mostly for schizophrenia offline consultations are preferred, as psychiatrist has to do proper examination of patients and after medicine also we have to monitor that he doesn’t have any side effects..
But yes you can try online consultation if nothing is working and that’s the only option available..
His previous medication will be reviewed in session along with his symptoms profile over last 5 years and based on that new medication will get started..
Costs of consultation are very starting from 200-1000Rs depending on different consultant.
Newer advanced medication are also available which we can try to him..
