Namastey A noticeable reduction in menstrual flow—from 4–5 days to just 1–2 days—while cycles remain regular is usually not a classical sign of menopause transition, especially when your hormone values like FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone) test and LH (Luteinizing Hormone) test are within a relatively normal reproductive range. In menopause transition, FSH typically rises significantly and cycles become irregular before stopping. However, your mildly elevated Prolactin test level and long-standing Type 2 Diabetes with suboptimal control (HbA1c 7.8) suggest a metabolic–hormonal imbalance rather than menopause. Chronic metabolic stress can affect endometrial thickness and ovulation quality, leading to lighter periods. From an Ayurvedic viewpoint, this reflects Artava Kshaya with involvement of Vata-Pitta imbalance and Dhatu kshaya, often secondary to impaired Agni and long-term metabolic disturbance (Madhumeha). So, this appears more like a functional hormonal shift influenced by metabolic health, not a permanent ovarian shutdown.
Next Steps
At this stage, the focus should be on restoring internal balance rather than labeling it as menopause prematurely. Your body is still cycling, which is a positive sign. Priority should be given to improving metabolic harmony and supporting reproductive tissue nourishment through a structured, individualized approach. It is strongly advisable to seek a personalized clinical evaluation, where your prakriti, metabolic state, and hormonal patterns are assessed together rather than in isolation. For comprehensive guidance and tailored management, you may connect with us at 9 3 1 5 6 6 1 5 6 5 for better evaluation and long-term correction in a systematic manner.
Health Tips
Focus on stabilizing your internal metabolism, as reproductive health closely follows metabolic health. Maintain consistent meal timings, avoid refined sugars and excessive processed foods, and favor warm, easily digestible meals to support Agni. Regular physical activity—especially brisk walking or yoga—helps improve insulin sensitivity and hormonal balance. Adequate sleep and stress management are equally important, as chronic stress can subtly affect hormonal signaling. Avoid excessive fasting or erratic eating patterns, as they may aggravate Vata and further reduce menstrual flow. Gentle practices like abdominal oil massage and maintaining a calm daily routine can also support reproductive tissue nourishment over time. Overall, this condition is reversible in many cases with proper metabolic correction and hormonal balance, provided it is addressed early and consistently. Thank you

Your FSH is normal , and the reduced bleeding is likely a hormonal imbalance , which is caused by mildly high prolactin level and unmanaged diabetes (as you mentioned since 3 years) . According to Ayurvedic perspect, this condition is Artava Kshaya This can be effectively managed after a detailed consultation
Next Steps
Focus on diet and exercise to lower your HbA1c level

Your FSH and LH are with in normal range, prolactin is mildly raised....since your HbA1c is 7.8 since 3 years..this is the main concern which is affecting your ovarian functions..chronic uncontrolled diabetes and raised prolactin may suppress ovulation and hence scanty menstrual flow..Your case seems to be more of hormonal imbalance
Next Steps
Kindly get your pelvic ultrasound done to rule out early PCOD, Repeat your prolactin and also get your thyroid profile done for better diagnosis

It doesn't look like menopause as your FSH and LH values are normal.Prolactin is mildly elevated which may be due to stress. Please check your Thyroid Function Test as well.Any recent weight gain? If the flow is becoming very scanty you can check Ultrasound Abdomen and Pelvis as well to know if you have PCOS or any such issue.
Next Steps
include sesame oil,black sesame seeds

Based on the limited information available, it seems that your symptoms may be related to hormonal imbalance, often influenced by underlying stress. In Ayurveda, stress is considered a major factor that disturbs Vata dosha, and when Vata becomes imbalanced, it can lead to various irregularities in the body—including hormonal disturbances and menstrual changes. Early menopause is not considered a normal process in Ayurveda. It is seen as an imbalance that, if not addressed in time, may lead to other health concerns in the future. The good part is that with the right approach—focusing on correcting the root cause, improving gut health, and balancing doshas—this condition can be effectively managed and improved. Since I don’t have complete details about your case (history, lifestyle, Prakriti, reports), a personalized treatment plan is very important here. I would recommend you to book a video consultation, so I can understand your condition in detail and guide you with a structured Ayurvedic treatment plan.
