If she's a diagnosed case of Rheumatoid arthritis, then she should be started on DMARD drugs. These are allopathic drugs for Rheumatoid. They reduce stiffness, swelling as well as pain. You should consult a rheumatologist or Orthopedic surgeon for the same. She needs to do some exercises when her symptoms reduce.
