B12 injection can cause restlessness, anxiety and feeling of heaviness in head and or ears, as side effect. You can switch over to tablets, benefits are the same, difference being inj has rapid action and better absorption. Tablets though a bit slow to act, are beneficial. Take tab Mecodenz 2.5microgram , one daily after breakfast for 6 to 8 weeks. Take more of fortified cereals,  berries, dairy products, soya, almonds, oats, nutritional yeast,.

You don't have to stop the medication. Both are not related. Consult with ENT doctor if ear pressure persists for more than 2 days.

Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician (Ex Govt Medical Officer at RML Hospital, New Delhi), and your case has been allotted to me. Thank you for sharing your symptoms clearly. I understand that increased anxiety and restlessness after starting medication can feel concerning. Based on the information you have shared, your Vitamin B12 level (148) is low and definitely requires supplementation. However, the symptoms you experienced after the first dose such as anxiety, restlessness, head pressure, and ear discomfort are not typical side effects of Vitamin B12 and are more likely due to anxiety or body’s response rather than the medicine itself. Your BP 113/77 is normal, so there is no concern from that side. What you should do now • Continue Vitamin B12 supplementation, as it is necessary • You may take it after food to feel more comfortable • Ensure good hydration and proper sleep • Try to stay calm, as anxiety can amplify these sensations ⸻ Important point These symptoms are usually temporary and settle on their own. Stopping B12 is not advisable when levels are low. ⸻ When to consult a doctor • If symptoms persist or worsen over next few days • If you develop palpitations, severe headache, or dizziness ⸻ Please remember that online guidance has its limitations. Monitoring your symptoms calmly is important. For personalised consultation and reassurance, you can reach out to me directly on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven. Wishing you good health and recovery. Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician
