I am a 31year old man. I drink and smoke heavily and have been leading a very sedentary life style since the last 10years. Since the last 2weeks I am feeling repeated urges for bowel movement which is increasing by the day. It is as if all the time I want to rush to the loo and pass bowel. But when I am ultimately going and trying to pass bowel either it is not passing or a very small amount is passing. The feeling of uncomfortableness keeps on staying. Though I have not observed blood in my stool yet, but at times I have experienced burning sensation in my anus at the time of bowel passage. I am worried as to whether I have developed any colon polyp or cancer. Please advise.

Hi..... Adding fiber to your diet increases the weight of your stool and speeds its passage through your intestines. Slowly begin to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables each day. Choose whole-grain breads and cereals.....
Exercise most days of the week. Physical activity increases muscle activity in your intestines. Try to fit in exercise most days of the week...
Don't ignore the urge to have a bowel movement. Take your time in the bathroom, allowing yourself enough time to have a bowel movement without distractions and without feeling rushed.....
