Regarding anterior low lying placenta
My 21 week Anamoly scan shows anterior low lying placenta with 3 cm from cervix. Is it a problem? All other findings are normal. What are all the precautions to be taken for this?

Distance from cervix is 3 cm so it's not placenta previa. Continue your routine medicine as advised.

As the pregnancy progress the placenta ascends up so it should not be a major issue But it also depends on other factors like Previous cesarean section Prior uterine surgery (D&C, myomectomy) Advanced maternal age (>35 years) Multiple pregnancy Previous placenta previa IVF pregnancy Connect for detailed explanation
