My wife, 30 yrs, suffers of some sort of "blood clot" (closest guess) that she just found out behind her left ear in two different but close points, slightly painful, redish, swelled and kind of hard at the touch, no other obvious symptom so far nor a reason to be there (like a hit or any other known accident). Any idea?

It could be an inflamed post aural lymph node arising out of scalp infection, or post auricular abscess due to mastoiditis or simply any skin condition like a furuncle or a sebaceous cyst etc. Treatment of each one of these is totally different from the other.
