Thank you for sharing your concerns. What you're experiencing appears to be part of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), specifically involving contamination and health-related obsessions. You've already taken more than sufficient rabies vaccination, and with your recent booster and psychiatric treatment, no further rabies doses are medically indicated. The distress you feel stems from OCD and not from a real risk of rabies infection.
Please trust your medical history and continue your psychiatric medications as advised. Repeated vaccinations can have adverse effects and should be avoided without medical necessity.
Next Steps
1. Continue your psychiatric medication as prescribed.
2. Avoid seeking reassurance or repeated rabies shots unless clearly advised by your physician.
3. Consider Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) focused on OCD, which is highly effective in such cases.

Hi
This is clearly Rabies OCD, where your mind overestimates risk and seeks safety through repeated vaccination. Medically, you are already protected full course in 2023 and two boosters in 2024 is more than enough. Rabies doesn’t spread through indirect contact like water on plates unless fresh saliva enters an open wound or mucosa, which didn’t happen.
This urge to get more boosters is your OCD demanding reassurance. Do not give in. Taking more shots will only strengthen the OCD loop. Trust your psychiatrist, stay on the meds, and begin CBT with ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) to break this cycle.
Take therapy. You can connect with me on nine two six six seven two six zero six five.
Kindly stop taking the vaccination. Its all in your mind . As you have already said that you have taken psychiatry consultation , kindly follow it. Dont skip your medication
1. My Opinion (As a Psychiatrist):
This is a classic presentation of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) with contamination obsessions related to rabies. The repeated vaccinations despite medical assurance and absence of direct exposure reflect a compulsive safety-seeking behavior to neutralize anxiety. Rabies cannot be transmitted by mere water droplets or indirect contact through a plastic plate unless there is fresh saliva from an infected animal and a mucosal or open wound contact. Your concern is a psychological fear, not a medical necessity. Repeated vaccinations are not only unnecessary but may also reinforce the OCD cycle.
Next Steps
. Next Step (What Should the Patient Do):
Do not take further rabies boosters for the current episo5de; you've already been over-immunized.
Continue your psychiatric medications regularly as prescribed.
Please consult a psychiatrist who also provides CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) – particularly Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which is highly effective in OCD.
Track your thoughts and compulsions in a journal and bring them to your therapist.
Health Tips
. Helpful Tips / Word of Caution:
Over-vaccination can harm your body and give a false sense of temporary relief, worsening the OCD in the long run.
OCD tends to seek 100% certainty – but recovery lies in learning to live with manageable uncertainty.
Don't Google or seek reassurance repeatedly – it feeds the obsession.
Stay hopeful – with proper treatment, OCD can significantly improve.

Hello sir
I can help you out with the management of ocd but before that you should remember certain points
1. Do NOT take further rabies boosters
No medical need for more doses after full series and recent boosters.
Indirect contact (e.g., plastic plate, water droplets) does not transmit rabies.
2.Stay on OCD medications as prescribed.
Begin or intensify CBT with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
3.Rabies spreads only through bites or saliva into open wounds/mucosa, not via dry surfaces.
Reassurance and repeated vaccines reinforce OCD patterns.
4.Excessive vaccination can be harmful and strengthens OCD behaviors.
