My mother who is 78 years had developed pain in lower calf in her right leg since 4 weeks now. She developed it one day all of sudden without any injury. She says pain is not there at rest but she feels intense pain while first trying to stand and then it gradually eases and then there is pain when she tries to fold her right leg pulling upwards when lying. Blood tests were done in September, 22 and
Thyroid,
sugar were normal (she has hypothyroidism &
diabetes, takes eltroxin 75 mcg & Glycomet SR 500 twice before lunch & dinner)
Lipid profile had every value in low risk/normal range except
Triglycerides 154 mg/dL,
HDL 33 mg/dL and very low density lipoprotein 30.8 mg/dL values. I read somewhere that this symptom can be of PAD so that has me worried. Also, her diastolic BP I have noticed recently stays below 70 nowadays, like 69, 64, 61 & one day it was 56 (she has hypertension, takes Asomex 2.5 morning & Repace 50 night). Should I get ECG/ECHO done?
