Query regarding chronic constipation
HI all.Iam asking this in view of an issue I faced a week ago.one fine morning I started having chronic constipation.Unable to pass stool with lot of pain. I took warm.milk warm.water and duphalac syrup but nothing of any .However as hours passed I was passing stool in parts bit by bit.so much so unbearable finally there was so.finally somehow next day morning the uncleared still causing discomfort got cleared. However since then it's been 5_6 days but I don't feel the urge to go to stool although it feels at times. MY FOOD INTAKE IS ALSO NOT MUCH.SO MY QUERY IS CAN I HAVE ISABGOL IN SUCH CASES?

Firstly we clear your ques flatus ( gas pass ho rhi h ya nhi ) if its normal so you can use stool softener , syp lactulose, and eat full fibre diet like moong daal , cucumber , green leafy vegetables. In night eat papaya and warm water , In morning drink a lot warm water before going to washroom . If flatus is not passed then go for ultrasound and x ray abdomen eract as soon as possible . In view of your age . You please consult a general surgeon who would like to do PR . Are you a Diabetic? If so you may have constipation due to inadequate water balance. Increase the fiber intake in your diet and drink adequate prescibed water intake by your physician! Meanwhile you can take Duphalac 15ml at night along with Duolaxin (combination of Megnesium Sulfate and Liquid Paraffin) 10ml

Yes, she can take Isabgol—it is safe and helps soften stool. Give with plenty of water (1–2 tsp at night), increase fluids and soft fiber diet. If no stool for >3–4 days, severe pain, or recurrent issue, needs doctor exam. Please consult me for proper evaluation and treatment.
