Pre-diabetic stage is where your sugar levels can be managed very well by choosing the right foods, following correct portion sizes and by doing regular exercise. Follow the points below to reverse the pre diabetic stage and manage the bad cholesterol and uric acid levels. • Include more of complex carbohydrates in your diet like whole wheat, millets, quinoa, and oats. • Include plant protein sources in your diet like dals and pulses. Remember to restrict animal protein sources like eggs, dairy products and meats like chicken and fish until your uric acid levels are under control. Avoid red meat completely. • Adding plenty of vegetables to your meals is important to add more fiber to your meals and keep your sugar levels under check. • Avoid having deep fried maida based foods and pure form of sugar in your diet to manage sugar levels, and reduce bad cholesterol levels. • Restrict alcohol especially beer to help reduce uric acid levels. • Drink plenty of water to flush out excess uric acid. • Lastly, remember to exercise daily. You can start with simple brisk walking for 30 to 45 minutes and gradually move onto other forms of exercise.

Hi Good evening! You can start following a low glycemic index diet. Reduce eating processed foods, fruit juices, cakes, pastries. Try and include more fiber in the form of vegetables and whole fruits. The fiber intake will also help with reducing cholesterol.
