At 9 months postpartum, it is safe to work on weight loss through a balanced, calorie-controlled diet and regular moderate exercise. Weight loss medicines are generally not recommended without a proper medical evaluation, as some can have side effects and may not be suitable for everyone in the postpartum period.
Next Steps
Get your thyroid function test (TSH) and basic blood work done, as postpartum hormonal changes can affect weight. A detailed diet and lifestyle plan will be most effective for you. Feel free to consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.

Delivery ke baad pehle 6–8 hafton tak recovery par dhyan dein. Agar breastfeeding kara rahi hain, to crash dieting na karein. Roz 30–45 minute brisk walk se shuruaat karein. Protein zyada lein: dal, paneer, dahi, anda, fish/chicken (agar lete hain). Mithai, cold drinks, packaged snacks aur extra sugar kam karein. Har meal me salad aur sabzi shamil karein. 7–8 ghante ki neend aur stress control bhi weight loss me madad karte hain. Normal weight loss lagbhag 0.5 kg per week tak surakshit mana jata hai.
